Some progress.

I wasn't in the Pirate shop last wednesday, due to bicycle trouble.
So today, when I arrived, my first thing was to see the patch panels for the cowl, Victor made for it - and they looks great!







I have long wished for a dry-cruise, an indoor garage cruise-a-like, arm out the window-kinda moment, and finally it was time! To ensure headspace, we had to test the height of the body compared to the frame by holding the cowl and doors in place, and suddently I was dry-cruising! Thanks to Oliver for holding the cowl and door!







Afterwards I got to cut two pieces of sheet metal to make new bottoms for the doors.



And then it was 10 o'clock!

Dobbelt dåbsgave - dual baptism gifts!

I can't help it! Often, when I see something, I picture what it would look like customized. This has given me some kuul projects in the past; scallops on my '65 121, my 221 with Moon (like) hubcaps, the Maxi chopper, the wide handlebars on my '54 DKW, several bicycle modifications, and loads of other stuff.
That's why, acouple of weeks back, I spend a week customizing a toy scoot-cart for my nieces - one biological and one not. I got the idea, when I had to make the gift certificate for Ziva's baptism; a Brio "gåvogn", flat black with flames, horn, Wunderbaum and a antenna with a fox tail. And now my littlebrother has become a farther too, so Ellen has to have one as well.
Therefore I started the project "Dobbelt dåbsgave" (dual baptism gifts) on a monday night - to customize two Brio carts in a week! First day was spend finding two Brio carts, so I drove through Copenhagen, picking up the first, which was fine and useable, and the second, which was free, but not useable.


But they had a much older cart, I bought also - the girls has to have a plaything at their uncle Dannerrs place! And it looked kuul, so I took it with me.


Next day I bought the second one and painted both flat black.


Wednesday is Pirates night, so thursday night I painted flames on the carts and assembled them again, adding all the extras along in the process.














Saturday morning I handed over the first cart to it's rightfull owner, and it seemed to be approved from the get-go!

The first step.

Today, after a lot of sickness, I finally got to work on the cab for the pick-up! At the Pirate shop, there was only me and Victor, so I'll wait with the subframe, which was my initial priority. Therefore I started with the cowl, placed it on the empty frame and made a replacement piece for the drivers side bottom.

First things first...

It has been a while, since I thought, I was just about to start the project. But then a carcrash, finding a new winters car, working overtime and two weeks with fever had me in a hold with the progres.
Tonight I was by the Pirate Kustomz shop- it is wednesday!- and we actually started the project!... Well, we started cleaning and then found a space for me, where we put in a frame to use as reference.


And if I'm not bussy building a mini-bike, I'll start building the subframe for the cab next week.

A carb for the pick-up.

Found a Stromberg 81 carb for the model B engine through the Danish Ford V8 club, so now I just need to overhaul the engine and carb, and build a manifold for it, so that it'll fit the fourbanger! That ought to give it some go, "as we did in thee fitties!"

A nice sunday...

Bought me a new bike:



And brought home a "new" car, a 1962 Volvo 221 (first year of 220's stationcars) with closed compartment, the closest thing to an Amazon panel van:

Headlights and more space

Bought a set of '30-'31 headlights with stag for the pick-up, but the stag was wrong, and the headlights was converted (via a transformer) to 220 volts- so now I have a new lamp in the garage:



Had a talk with my father in-law last night, and we agreed, that I could rent some more space at their farm, so I can get all my stuff at one place. So within the next year, I should hopefully get all the Volvos and parts up from my garage in the south, have it all in one place and be able get some work done, instead of using my time on the 150 km (ca. 95 miles) trip!
